Has anybody got the new Extreme Cable yet

  1. I get my internet throught a home bundle, so its like 35$cdn or about 27.50 US for extreme cable.

  2. Are you in NY where Verizon I heard has FIOS running in certain places or are they also in other states for FIOS as well?

  4. Here are 2 more places to test your speed. The first one starts automatically, the second one you click on Test/Tools and then scroll down to Speed Test. I like the second one because it gives you both up and down speeds.

    To All:
    I checked my speed at the second URL listed... Broadband Rpts.

    I got 5.2 Mb/s first try then 4.6 second and third try.

    I was using an older 1.4GHZ machine using Win98SE../. but I tweeked my cable internet connections using info at Broadband Rpts website as well as another website just 4 the heck of it.

    Not too shabby.. Goes to show that tweeking payed off 4 me
    and that it doesn't take newer hardware to get speed but rather proper tweeking /setup... I think 5M is faster than some T1 lines I've seen displayed on test results a while back when I did the tweeking? agpilot
