    Supplements must help too.
Not much of a photographer, but this particular cucumber plant got a little Miracle-Gro yesterday and look at him go.

just hanging from a pull-up bar works as a regular once or twice a day just to boost circulation in and around discs while i'm waiting for the stove, etc.
got a bar attached to a ratchet strap over one of the 4x16'' beams that run overhead in the kitchen. the ratchet allows raise and lower to however high feels right.
read up on inversion tables, some fret about bone spurs and possible damage according to search "inversion table dangers". i like teters though. used to use the old man's gravity boots with the hooks behing the heels too, remember those?

Have 3 bad disks, pain jumps around as they are L4,5 and T12, worst is T12, horrible spasm where I lock up for an hour. Tried everything, best is wearing tshirt and 2 hours of leaning against frozen peas in a bag. Gets numb and next day all gone for few weeks.

Worst for me is the waiting, life just too long. Constant pain with Sarcoidosis. But been taking past 7 months of Alpha Lipoic Acid for numbness as half each feet from center toward smaller toes lost feelings 2 years ago, Now have constant pain. So perhaps study's done in Germany were good.

Not going on pain killers though, I can't see being controlled and dazed.

I often wonder if one day we will lose many of our liberties. Will I have to hand over my claymore mines? When in doubt, I just rather go to gun range to maintain accuracy. Go NRA.

    Hey Baron,
Good to hear you are feeling better, sorry to hear you joined the aching back club..
I would highly recommend books by Stuart Mcgill of Backfit Pro..He is the guy when it comes to backs and tons of pro athletes work with him. What you may find interesting is his biomechanical approach to measuring loads, force vs muscle activation ..Alot of the exercises we do do not give us enough bang for the buck considering the loads/force placed on the spine...

Not suggesting you get an MRI,but without one,you have no clue as to what you may have done..Could be stenosis, could be a herniation. The problem is there is really one exercise, the "superman" that should be done regardless of the condition..Without knowing what you did,you dont know if flexion exacerbates the condition or extension.

FWIW,if you are good to go 2 days later, you are very lucky. But listen to the warning signals and get yourself on a decent core strengthening program, and read what McGill has to say...

When I would get upper back pain in high school, (muscle spasm), bench pressing would help. I think it was something about the weight putting pressure on the back while lying on the "narrow" bench.

Lower back pain is crippling, it affects your life and your personality. My issue is back spasms.

  10. If you don't have pain in your legs, it might be a case of muscle spasm in the lower back.
