Harvey Walsh...Daytrade master

Discussion in 'Educational Resources' started by The_Z, May 6, 2007.

  1. I split the price with a trading buddy and we bought his materials(Harvey). It's OK. But it is only one of many strategies that can be used. the trick is to know when to use it. Most of his entry's are momentum so you can suffer some pretty big pullbacks to stomach. Sometimes the best entry is to bid a pullback in those thing. He goes all in grabbing the offer each time with 1000 shares.

There is no magic setup to buy and use for consistent profit. That's why I like the guys at TodayTrader. Many different approaches you can learn to put in your bag of tricks.

I agree with the Dentist analogy earlier. Good post.

    Happy trading all.

  2. I don't know Harvey Walsh or do I care if he is real or not real. I never search the Internet to buy "the holy grail" trading system. I am trading for a living now using my own methodology developed over the years - many of my early years were losing years.

Many people are seeking to "get rich quick" in trading. I really don't think there is such a thing.

And for those who had only paper-traded: Please spare me about your success. You are as good as a "pilot" who aced in a Microsoft Flight Simulator but had never stepped inside a real plane.

  6. thanks man, but it's not very easy. the emotions that take place are intense, it's not for everybody for sure!

just follow your rules\strategy and all is well! tight stops, tight stops, tight tight stops! can't emphasize it more.

good luck to you all, and thanks for the props =)

  8. I've seen some of your vids. Interesting to watch. However your stops certainly dont seem tight to me? It looks like you often keep adding to losing positions in the hope that they will come back to you?
Either way, I wish you well.

  9. yea that's bad news for sure, that's when i'm not following the rules. i think you're refering to trades early in the morning when the volotility is extreme, i don't think i'm doing wrong by adding to those positions, i just pick my entry wrong. i won't justify that adding to a losing position is good, but sometimes it's good to go with your gut.

thanks for the luck wish blackjack, i wish you luck as well.

  10. how are you finding 'worldwide trading capital' then, elvis?
Im thinking of maybe going with them in the future. Is your money definitely safe (slightly concerning how their web address has changed quite a few times in the past, but probably nothing to worry about)?
why did you decided to go with them as opposed to a prop firm like bearcapital or nevis for example? (qI assume you considered that route)

Loving your videos. Inspiring. Im still practicing trading futures, and im not doing bad. However, I cant ignore the fact that everyone tells me that futures trading is the hardest way to earn money, and the fact that 90% of the profitable guys in the pnl forum trade equities.....

Need to save up money at this stage anyway, but will look for a way to daytrade without PDT restrictions once ive saved a few thousand dollars.

    regards.
