I get the sense she is a "lamb being led to the slaughter" for the sake of the down ballot. Currently, the GOP is ahead* and the Dems are apparently "whistling past the graveyard". No one wants to sacrifice their political career by hitching their wagon to the top of the Dem ticket. We still have to see how their convention goes too. I'm sure there are more surprises to come. As always, this is my opinion... take it fwiw. * electoral model, betting odds
I was deeply disappointed watching Beshear's interview yesterday. He ignored the questions and answered everything with phony platitudes. I haven't really seen Shapiro, Kelly, or Cooper speak. Do the Democrats have anybody honest and authentic to go against the pathological lying authenticity of Trump?
Taylor Swift will surely endorse Kamala Harris -- this alone will bring several million more votes - from young people, etc. (the mistakes of 2016 will not be repeated.)
Looks like every Democratic governor and all, but 2 Democratic senators have endorsed Harris so far. Those 2 senators are: 1. Tester (MT, very white pro-Trump state, +16 in 2020) 2. Menendez (NJ, facing expulsion)
Of note, most of her staff have been black women. And then some black men. And they all hated her and left or have stayed and hate her. Countering her persistent narrative that lots of people don't like her because they cannot handle her being black or a woman.
