is being attentive and ready when the opportunity develops. I'm finding it very difficult to keep my concentration level up to make sure I'm ready to take a trade when the setup occurs. I'm usually distracted by email, phone call..etc.. its so easy to turn away from the screen and miss that great setup.
there are 2 types of distractions: Distractions you cannot control, and distractions you can control. Life is a decision.
Sounds like you're looking for excuses. If you're a trader and this is your primary means of income then don't check email from 9:30 to 4:00. If the phone rings check caller ID and pick it up if it's truly an important call. Otherwise the person calling can leave a message on your voice mail and you can return the call after the market closes.
Code a Paintbar, and set up an alert. Sure, you won't be able to code it to perfection, as if you were watching it like a hawk. But it will at least get your attention. Schaefer
