In January I'll move to Thailand and want to trade Hang Seng and Nikkei futures. Has anybody gained experience trading these intraday and if so, how do you like them (or not) especially in comparison with ES? Thanks for any feedback.

  4. HSI - that b*tch is a widowmaker ... now I swing trader her only.

    Ditch,
I don't know why you have chosen these trading vehicles, but i am sure you have your reasons.
Personally, within the time zone you wish to trade in, i would consider the Australian futures index-the SPI. Day traders mkt, liquidity and no lunch break.

    TRS.

These were the two index futures that initially came to my mind, thanks for the tip on the SPI.

SPI is like watching paint dry.
    HSI is highly volatile.
Nikkei has medium volatilty and is HIGHLY liquid.

Do you trade the Nikkei225 future (OSE, Osaka) ?

    P.S.

There are 2 popular index futures in Hongkong:

HSI and HSCEI ( since 12/2003, CEI = China Enterprises Index )
