Israel is not carpet bombing Gaza. If you want to see what carpet bombing with dumb munitions looks like then see some photos of German cities after WW2. The first step to peace is the complete elimination of Hamas as a governing and military force in Gaza. And yes, unfortunately there will be some civilian casualties but Israel gave instructions that moving to the south will get you out of the combat zone. Is the situation optimal where people are forced to move? No. Well, let me mention that nobody claiming Israel is in the wrong for having Palestinians move temporarily to save lives seems to give a shiat about the Ukrainians that were forced to move due to the Russian military action. Sadly Hamas sets up its rocket launchers inside and/or besides schools & hospitals... and launches rockets at Israel which kill Israeli civilians. But the Arab press and Al Jazeera does not seem to give a damn about the Israeli civilian casualties including the 1400 Israelis brutally butchered by Hamas which started this war. The sole responsibility for this war and the civilian casualties is on Hamas.
