In 1942 Roosevelt moved Japanese Iiving in the US to concentration camps at gunpoint. They were forced from their homes. The context is that Japan had opened up a war by surprise attack and Japanese were considered potential partisans. Likewise, Arabs opened up a war in 1948 by surprise attack where Israel had much more at stake than the US did in 1942. Since the war was an Arab religio-racist war, any Arab in Israeli territory could be considered a partisan. Even so, I think you are ignoring just how many Arabs were allowed to stay in their homes, and why. You are emphasizing how many weren't, implying all of them, and don't give any context. Are you looking for naive university freshmen to convince here on Elite Trader? Will you cut and paste some more?
That was eventually conceded as a mistake, and compensation was awarded. Palestinians are still living in those camps, and Jews are living in their old homes. There was never any compensation. Palestinians are the largest refugee group in the world. The younger generation seems to be getting it. They don't need any help.
Again, youve failed context, don't mention how many Arabs kept their homes, and don't distinguish between partisans and loyalists to Israel. You're right, most young people don't need any context, just emotions and emotional puppet masters.
@ipatent do you condemn Hamas? If you are for a ceasefire, when should the ceasefire have started? October 8th?
I condemn the October 7th attacks and the hostage taking, but not Hamas as a whole. I condemn Israel for keeping Palestinians in what amounts to concentration camps for generations.
So you don’t condemn Hamas for using innocent Palestinian civilians as human shields? You don’t condemn Hamas for stealing huge portions of the UN & EU aid money to allow the Hamas leadership to live lives of luxury?
