Israeli President Isaac Herzog says the Israeli military found an Arabic copy of Adolf Hitler's 'Mein Kampf' in a children's room used as a base by Hamas terrorists in northern Gaza this weekend.

Herzog made the comments in an interview with the BBC on Sunday, holding up the book for inspection. The president said the book showed signs of personal use.

“This is Adolf Hitler’s book, ‘Mein Kampf,’ translated into Arabic,” Herzog told the outelt. “This is the book that led to the Holocaust and the book that led to World War II.”

“The terrorist wrote notes, marked the sections, and studied again and again, Adolf Hitler’s ideology to hate the Jews, to kill the Jews, to burn and slaughter Jews wherever they are. This is the real war we are facing,” he added.

“After the massacre and atrocities committed by Hamas terrorists on October 7 — the day on which the largest number of Jews were murdered since the Holocaust — this is another revelation that testifies to the sources of inspiration of the terrorist organization Hamas, and proves once again that all its actions have the same goal as the Nazis — the destruction of Jews,” Herzog's office wrote in a statement.

It doesn't say that in Mein Kampf.

Actually, when you think about it, the Koran is Mohammed's "Mein Kampf", containing phrases very similar to what you just quoted. The only German with more anti-Semetic feelings was Martin Luther.

The Jews were a pain in the ass to the Romans and might have been unpopular throughout the empire. But I have to wonder how much of this stems from Mohammed, after the local Jews rejected his newfound prophetic abilities. I'm sure you are aware of Mohammed's double-faced, two-phased approach to celebrity. He did try peaceful persuasion at first...but the sword worked better.

The only reason I can think of that would engender special hatred toward Jews is the claim that they are a chosen race by God. I don't think that's true but it doesn't bother me...but maybe it bothers others?

Mohammed wasn't around until after the collapse of the Western Roman empire.

I know. I'm wondering if so much of this strange hatred emanates from him and his own Mein Kampf for Arabs, or whether this goes back to the Romans problems with them...or what. Did Martin Luther get it from Mohammed? Did Hitler get it from Luther?

In my opinion there's no excuse for it.

In the case of the Arabs it emanates because their land was stolen and they were ethnically cleansed.

I believe this is a leftist slogan. It invokes cheers for the underdog, even if the underdog is insane with rabies.

Here is a better perspective from boots on the ground:
