Wow. You're a fucked up person. Seriously. I asked you 3 simple questions to illustrate a point and you resorted to name-calling. For the record, I could out-trade your ass any day of the week. And I could out-invest your ass, any day of the month. Wanna put your money where your mouth is? Or is this all you do? Talk shit all day and never back it up? As for the real world. I live in it. When you get around to it, why don't you explain to the good people of Elite why the Third World is poor? Why America is rich? And why the Soviet Union collapsed? Do you even know where wealth comes from, dildo?
The Soviet Union, Africa, South America, Mexico, Central America, India, China before 1980 and Indonesia are not "imaginary hypotheticals", dumbass. They are real places, with real people, who are really fucking poor. Why do you suppose that is, Corky?
Sure did! Who wrote that playbook of greed and fear? Corporate America, that's who! Who profits from that playbook? Corporate America! Who lobby's congress day and night to keep that playbook in tact? Corporate America! Who would have fallen apart had we used the rough and tough playbook? Corporate America, and yes, the rest of us would have taken a major hit as well. And that is exactly why Corporate America MUST be regulated. They have proven time and again they cannot, and will not self govern in a legal or ethical manner. Any heavy handed regulation that come upon them...they have no one but themselves to blame.
I don't need to wait for lower taxes and regulations, I have the money to hire today! (And maybe I should, be first or be smarter, right?) I only need your confirmation that, even though I'll be first in my sector to start hiring, that my comparatively higher overhead and lower market share will be strictly temporary, and that I'll make even more money later when all these new businesses (even if some of them are additional competitors) start up because taxes and regulations will be lower and everyone's margins will be higher! This is an exciting prospect, and doesn't even require me to consider my customers!
No. I would suggest this is more Romanesque: And I didn't even resort to name calling, as he fraudulently alleges. He said nobody takes me seriousy, and I merely asked him if he was that nobody. Who knew. And I'm surprised that he didn't pull out a blotter like Steelers Baby/Hello/Max, just for good measure.
Dude, seriously. Get a grip. What you say makes no sense. What I am saying is this: If the Government cut your tax and compliance costs in half: 1) Would you not be able to sell your product at a lower cost, for the same margin? Yes or no? 2) Would a lower price of your product not increase your demand? Yes or no? 3) Would that higher demand not warrant an additional hiring of production/managerial staff to accommodate it? Yes or no? 4) Would consumers, in general, not benefit from the cheaper supply of your product, of which they could buy more of? Yes or no? Simple shit man. You guys are wedded to this ideology, whatever it is, and it makes zero fucking sense. Now could you please do me a favor and answer those questions? And if you can't/won't answer those questions, can you please tell me if you give all your money to charity? If not, can you please explain why you keep it?
No. I think they are not in business and are merely being theoretically or ideologically "pure". But hey, if I can increase sales and, at least, hold my margins constant I'll take ideas from anyone. I'm doing a little dance in my office right now, thinking about all those sales I'm going to be making someday because I was the first to start hiring today with the cash I supposedly don't have, because cash-strapped corporations like mine with fictitious record profits in their accounts demanded and got tax and regulation reductions so that they'd have the cash to start hiring!
