Great post. The bunny example is an excellent and simple way to demonstrate why evolution occurs. Unfortunately, it will fall upon deaf ears with religious fanatics like Peil, who are brainwashed and do not wish to understand this theory.
Jonas Salk had some astute insights into evolution as it might be applied to consciousness. Consider whenever an atom "decides or not" to combine with another atom to form a molecule, it enters into what might be described as a decision. Though the most rudimentary of decisions it may be the source of what we experience as consciousness in the same way that water molecules that combine to form oceans manifest various phenomena such as waves, an "emergence" that any examination of water molecules could never reveal. Consciousness too undergoes evolution in how its progeny revealed in organizations, institutions and all manner of social aggreement where the motivation to combine beliefs takes that next step in the interest of its own preservation. Theres alot more than this link on Salk's insights into the evolution of evolution too. http://www.bizcharts.com/stoa_del_sol/conscious/conscious6.html
Indeed. Don't expect peeps to get the truth very easy in here. Some do ... many are packin' and mostly manifest what is inside them. You know; bitterness, rage, mockery ... common for critters and those packin' them.
1. thats very good... and why I agree there is some form of evolution. 2. evolution does not conflict with my theology. 3. The bible does not say we are only 5000 years old. 4. But my question is is this. Given when the big bang happened was there enough matter and time in the known universe for things to evolved the way they have? 5. Given the initial starting point of the big bang... do you find it odd that the cosmological constant and some many other constants are tuned just right to support life? 6. Are there many top scientists who come to different conclusions? 7. Do you believe in infinite other universes or just ours?
