    Hi All

Do people think there is still room in either HF's or Prop Shops for people who simply have a proven 'gut feel for managing risk' and obviously the profits to prove it. Rather than say a specific methodology or approach?

By this i mean people who can feel out a trade without using specific technical / quant analysis or specific company / market fundamentals. These tools could be used to help support entries or exits but are less important than just taking a view on a market / stock etc.

Obviously, its far easier if you are managing only your own money but to what extent is there still a role for this type of trading.

I think results speak for themselves at the end of the day. I wouldn't even say "I've got a gut feel for these things".....

Just say "I'm a good trader, here is the proof...that's all you need to know"

As long as your track record is long enough to prove you are not just a fluke, that should be all that matters.
