  1. I believe Steve's numbers because unlike you, he does have a credible track record here on ET.

Hyputzamouse you know full well that tests have been done on at least the portion of hersheys postulates.

Drill number 1 from usenet days
rockets ala stochastic indicator thread and CL rockets thread
    if1if2 ala sexy idea thread
    bar4 break out
2 bar channels emergency exit drill ala CL emergency exit drill thread
This graphic is from hersheys usenet days at misc.invest.futures
and his 30 min bar breakout universal strategy for any index futures contract.

Does his current offering work? Who knows? Who cares? Let the fools suffer him gladly.

  4. That's ugly! What parts of your list of parameters do those test results encompass? I would have posted some of my old tests, but they are long gone, tossed with the three 3" ring binders, haha!

This thread was a good example of hershey giving very explicit trading rules which fail miserably. Of course all the protractors came to the fore and as a certain 666 trader repeatedly points out, they attempted to add additional rules to "fix" the system. hershey blows off his failure by saying that it was just a warm up, not meant to be traded for profits, etc. ad nauseam. However in the original post way back when on misc.invest.futures hershey claimed it was a mechanical way to pool extract about 75k per annum. snicker..:D

  6. A funny link! Now I remember it. I tested some of the ideas without success. Of course my contention has always been that individual instructions must work independently if the whole system is to work.

  7. And this graphic shows how one would have done buying the "0 to 7 turn" of the "P,V Boolean relation."

  8. I think there is ample evidence that Spydertrader can trade them profitably. However, I don't want to try to learn or use a method so fucking complicated that it takes a genius like him to learn it. I am slipping into a pre-Alzheimer's state and have to use classical TA as old as Jack, but not as complicated.

  9. I must say that Jack is also a very big shot, maybe past genius. Check out his post in a "quantitative" thread. It must be time to go over to the other side. Trouble is, they won't accept any input that would improve/fix what they're doing.

  10. The stuff has been transferred to a lot of people and on various levels.

Several of these people have posted their results as well in contemporary times and places here in ET.

The requests for this and that come in waves over time.

In the early waves there were sufficient afforts made to deal with what was inquired about.

Now days there is a set of people who make it their business to do several things which are self evident.

The net effect is that a broad filter is in effect. some people decide to do the work to become proficient others do other things.

The two groups have names. You can make lists of what is represented by each group. It is fun.

One group has invented the "Guru" concept. The other group makes unbelievable and astonishing amounts of money. One group has an educational set of forums for learning; the other group has endless threads that do polls, post their results of not doing any work and talk to each other about things other than trading skills, knowledge or experience.

One group complains about the language in posts and they also take pot shorts at the other group. The other group participates in the chat room and narrates what they are doing trading. This group also answers questions related to learning how to trade.

One group continually provides humnor and entertainment. This group, collectively have more aliases than any other identifiable group in ET. If you want to keep track of the rate of new aliases, simply look at the votes in the next to last poll and see which new name posted in that thread as the negative vote increased by one more loser.

THe PVT and SCT journals are going to expert this year on the announced schedule. One journal is edited monthly and an indixed table of contents is done and posted in PDF; the associated illustration of the juornal are included.

So the proof is abundant and in many forms and from many practitioners. It has been important to many of us to make PVT and SCT available to anyone who wants to use it. We are dong this and it has been proven that it is transferable and very profitable.

The same template is used in both trading systems and it is easily transferred to any market on any fractal.

There is one drawback of PVT and SCT. Before it become easy and second nature, some work must be done to learn the knowledge, skills and to have the experience.

There is another drawback for potential learners to consider. Once the conventional otrhodoxy has become more or less pervasive in a person's belief system, it is not possible to surround such believes in any possible way in order that the person can learn PVT and SCT.

Now, it is possible to look at the science of why these people have the consequences that they have. You can check this all out fairly easily at this point. The three symptoms of the conventional orthodoxy practice in terms of permanent emotional characteristics are: fear, anxiety and anger. One of the two groups exhibits these. The other group ordinarily deals with the emotions related to support, comfort and confidence.

Since you posted, you may be joining one group or the other.
