  1. Hi Mephisto,

Thanks for starting your journal and sharing your thoughts.

Just wanted to add, based on your quote above that consistent profitability doesn't neccesarily come from 'the' system, regardless of which system you use.

It comes from having the correct mindset, and having it in a perpetual mode.

I will start a thread soon, with the purpose of disccusing genes. How our genetic makeup affect our ability to make money and keep it.

    here it is. =)

  3. Hi op7 - I couldn't agree more with your statement of "having the correct mindset". That, in a nutshell, is the 'Grail' . There are so many systems/methods/approaches out there that it simply does not address the crux of profitable trading, and surely anyone with any decent amount of screentime has already internalized this fact.

That is exactly why all these threads bashing this, bashing that are so friggin pointless. Apparently there are just too many fragile egos that can't handle the reality of it all.

I did happen upon your thread yesterday and seems it will elicit some very interesting discussions. Is it possible that I was hidden from view behind an open door when they were passing out both gene sets - heheh. I also came across this thread yday:
Index Futures ›› What kind of techniques do heavy scalpers use? and am eager to delve into the psychological discussions of Dr. Brett Steenbarger, having briefly looked at the link provided in the thread: http://traderfeed.blogspot.com/2007...orld-class.html
Considering your comments, I would think you might also find this very interesting.

    Have a great week! :)

  4. My gracious apologies but I don't expect you to understand because you're obviously stuck in the CW. As Jack wrote:

The three symptoms of the conventional orthodoxy practice in terms of permanent emotional characteristics are: fear, anxiety and anger.

  5. Bluebolt,

Ok I don't feel that singled out. I see you badmouthing other peoples trading styles and systems all across the board. So tell me, is there anyone you do look up to or find value in. Trading wise?

    Have a profitable Friday

  6. Well,
If you say you are a guru, you are not.
If you say you are not a guru, you might be...
if you want to be a guru you better let the people decide that you are before stating that.
most $real$ gurus are seeked out, none will be sniveling on ET...

    shall I go on?

Guru is an old expression pertaining to a teacher who knows.
We hardly have that in most self proclaimed "gurus" in america, spiritual, financial or otherwise. They are just greedy scumbags looking for money......
I dare you to prove me wrong by posting all your records, financial statements and returns for the last ten years, audited!!!!
