    When President Barack Obama took the oath of office on Jan. 20, 2009, the total federal debt held by the public stood at 6.3073 trillion, according to the Bureau of the Public Debt, a division of the U.S. Treasury Department. As of Aug. 20, 2010, after the first nineteen months of President Obama’s 48-month term, the total federal debt held by the public had grown to a total of $8.8333 trillion, an increase of $2.5260 trillion.

    US debt should be pushing 15 Trillion plus when obama is out in another year - this does not include the trillions in federal reserve created debt that we are backing as US Taxpayers - my $10 Trillion dollar number is plenty good enough.

  2. I think the surge in guns sales may be due to the possibility that SNL ran an old clip that the Tea Party people believe to be part of a news broadcast:

    Not the greatest of recordings but the singing of this, perhaps, Kenyan, getting a shotgun and killing all the whitey he sees may have stirred up the crazies to buy more guns.

    Your government loving buds with Holder are the cause of the gun sales increase - they thought Mexico needed some economic assistance

  4. You don't understand. One has to figure out how much of the debt can be attributed to Obama's policies and how much of it was the result of the Generalissimo Bush's punting the problems to the next guy.

    Added into Obama's term we see: the spending Bush left, a drop in revenue, extension of unemployment benefits, increase in food stamps and other assistance programs, increase expenses due to Medicare/Medicaid,etc, etc....

    Now the stimulus programs is his, but that was expected as any politician would've done the same thing. Bailing out GM? Bush started the bailout for GM but punted it into the "what the heck do we do with GM" area. Obamacare does not kick in until years from now.

    Once ya start going through the data, it's bad but not $10 trillion bad.

  5. Buy Guns & Ammo, my friends.

    There are 90 guns in America for every 100 people. I'd like to see this deficiency corrected in the early part of 2012.

    BUY BUY BUY!!!!

    The second Amendment protects all of our other rights.

    A man without a gun is a subject; a man with a gun is a citizen.

    Thats sounds right;
    especially since they caught the {D} Senator from VA;
    with a handgun.............:D

    Also i would NOT think an anti-gun loser org like the Brady Bunch would have anything good to say about the 2nd ammendment.

    Also the law of the land[loophole some say,LOL]allows guns to be sold @ gunshows... without any record keeping.Stricter state regs may apply in CA,NY.....

    I've noticed uniformed police@ most gun shows;
    but the main reason i buy most of my guns @ fed liscensed dealers,the good[volume] ones can get a good buy on new guns, or fix[if needed] a used one they sell you.

    :cool:

    Fuzzy math is killing this country - please don't add to the mix.

    bush and obama are the same - did you not get the notice?

    exploding spending

    more government expansion

    more wars

    very high energy costs

    increased taxation

    Maybe you did not realize how they dupped you in the left-right controlled opposition trap?

  8. Sadly I think a big part of this is broke boomers enrolling in the 9mm retirement plan... retiring in poverty after living a life of relative plenty is a very hard pill to swallow.

    Bob with all due respect, whenever i see this argument. When the rubber meets the road what exactly do you think a john q. public can do with a .45glock if the cops or military wanted to get to you. ...you grab your gun, flash bomb, through your window, door kicked in, 5 guys with black boots and laser MP5 in your face before you can say two words.

    Our biggest "weapon" for change is to vote, to get o-dummy out of there and get someone that knows what they are doing.

    It makes me chuckle whenever i hear, a "citizen" arming themselves against the govt... most cant outshoot a patrol man with a .38, much less special ops or God forbid CIA blackops.

    Dont kid yourself.. if they wanted to "harm" you, there would be nothing you could do.
