And as for the European gun ban:

The Dunblane school massacre occurred at Dunblane Primary School in the Scottish town of Dunblane on 13 March 1996. The gunman, 43-year-old Thomas Hamilton, entered the school armed with four handguns, shooting and killing sixteen children and one adult before committing suicide.
    ------
The Cumbria shootings was a killing spree that occurred on 2 June 2010 when a lone gunman, Derrick Bird, killed 12 people and injured 11 others before killing himself in Cumbria. It is one of the worst criminal acts involving firearms in British history.
The series of attacks began in mid-morning in Lamplugh and moved to Frizington, Whitehaven, Egremont, Gosforth and Seascale, sparking a major manhunt by the Cumbria Constabulary.
Bird, a 52-year-old local taxi driver, was later found dead in a forested area, having abandoned his vehicle in the village of Boot. Two weapons that appeared to have been used in the shootings were recovered. There were 30 different crime scenes.
    ------
The 2011 Norway attacks were two sequential attacks against the government, the civilian population and a Workers' Youth League (AUF)-run summer camp in Norway on 22 July 2011.
The first was a car bomb explosion in Oslo within Regjeringskvartalet, the executive government quarter of Norway. The bomb was made from a mixture of fertilizer and fuel oil and placed in the back of a car. The car was placed in front of the office of Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg and other government buildings. The explosion killed eight people and injured at least 209 people, twelve of them seriously.

The second attack occurred less than two hours later at a summer camp on the island of Utøya in Tyrifjorden, Buskerud. The camp was organized by the AUF, the youth division of the ruling Norwegian Labor Party (AP). A gunman dressed in a homemade police uniform and showing false identification gained access to the island and subsequently opened fire at the participants, killing 69 of them, and injuring at least 110, 55 of them seriously.
    ------
Sep. 23, 2008: Kauhajoki, Finland - A gunman kills 10 people at a vocational college and kills himself.
    -------
Apr. 26, 2002: Erfurt, Germany - An expelled student kills more than a dozen teachers, two students and a police officer before killing himself.

It's an indisputable fact that if one wants a gun one can get it. More Gun control laws only disarm the law abiding and there is a cost for such action.

It's very dangerous when one starts making laws based on what someone might do. It has been argued that the Second Amendment, or any amendment does not grant absolute freedom. i.e. freedom of speech does not allow one to yell fire in a crowded theater... freedom of the press does not allow one to maliciously slander.... True, but shall we require patrons at the theater to don gags because they might yell fire.... shell we require those that write for the press to undergo background checks... submit to sensor review.

It has also been argued that cities, towns, counties or even states should have the right to set their own standards when it comes to gun control, so argued in Washington D.C. (D.C. v. Heller) or Chicago (Chicago v. McDonald) and we can not forget the legal battle over the unconstitutional confiscation of lawfully owned firearms by the City of New Orleans ordered by Mayor C. Ray Nagin who said..."..the 2nd amendment doesn't apply here....." Not only is this a violation of the 14th Amendment, but if we allow each jurisdiction to pick the parts of the Constitution they want to uphold, what shall we do when some city or county in Mississippi decides to ignore the 13th Amendment.

  2. I would advise anyone concerned about having the means to protect your family to stock up on items Obama may try to ban by executive edict, eg tactical rifles and ammo for them, high cap mags, semi auto pistols.

We have already witnessed numerous examples of obama acting outside the law and Constitution on the gorunds that "congress hasn't acted." Don't think he wouldn't be quick to use the same means to go after a hated adversary, gun owners. A federal judiciary stocked with leftwing puppets will not be any protection, nor will a congress with democrat majorities or blocking minorities.

How is being prepared paranoia dip shit?

Had someone been a little more <s>paranoid</s> prepared in Aurora there probably would have been a few more survivors.

The only "paranoia" I see is from the looney left anti guns nuts who piss their panties at the sight of a firearm.

I think it was the 1960's when the U.K. effectively banned most firearms.
But they still have firearm related violence. I read recently that people are literally building simple firearms in their basements and selling them to criminals. One guy was arrested for converting starter pistols into firing handguns. I haven't heard if they've banned basements or starter pistols yet.

No doubt some dumb fuck bleeding heart bureaucrat is writing the legislation as we speak.

Then cops should not have them either, moron.

Nationwide 11% of police shootings involve the wrong person or an innocent bystander getting hit - by police.

In private citizen self defense shootings only 2% result in an unintended person being hit.

For those of you who are mathematically challenged that translates into you're more than five times more likely to be shot by a policemen by mistake than by responsible legal private citizen gun owners.
