  1. Governments do not cause corruption, nor abuse of power.

You are blaming governments, when they are part of a proper and necessary element to balance society.

    Does capitalism regulate itself?

    Nope.

Reagan country is a fairy tale.

    reagan country was joke.
    the concept still stands.
you just agreed govt gets corrupted.

you view of govt is the fairy tale. I do not even understand it.
how are the people in the corrupted govt not responsible for themselves being corrupted.

How is powerful concentrated govt not... a bad thing.

limited fed govt and decentralized govt is the answer and always has been.

  3. I agree that concentration of wealth and power corrupts.

Government, in proper balance with the private sector, doing the job government is supposed to do, having labor unions protecting the rights of workers, having a strong and free press...is the proper balance.

The corrupting factor is not he government though.

I disagree that we don't need a strong central government. We need a strong central government to keep a state in check who has become so corrupted that the people of the state have no protection from their state officials.

Currently we are not balanced and the power is being taken away from the people by both the government and the oligarchy, the oligarchy which controls the government.

    Balance is the key.

When people focus in on reducing the size of government, and destroying the balance, and promote unbridled capitalism and the oligarchy...then the person is not interested in a strong America.

A strong America has dynamic balance between all the forces at work.

because govt is powerful the oligarchy gets more control
they get to pass law which effect every aspect of our lives.

    someone illustrated on another thread...

    no internet poker
no imported drugs from our drug companies
etc. Health care with mandated payments by citizens.

The federal govt is trampling on our rights. the beast must be starved... taxes must be lowered. spending must be cut.

balance is important... but right not the federal govt is far to larger far too powerful, far too corrupted and far too expensive.

  5. The Founders were adamantly against our ever having a large, powerful Federal Government... wrote it into the Constitution so that it would be IMPOSSIBLE.... except for the fact that government started ignoring the Constitution... grabbing power and authority which are not allowed by the Constitution... and the people let them get away with it.

NOW look what we've got... We are living the Founders' bad dream... NIGHTMARE to follow.
