  1. one should think the US government is winning the war on the American Citizen

  2. Correct. Isn't it amazing how the huge majority of Americans don't even realize they are at war and who the enemy is?

Since government revenues are linked to nominal GDP, there is nothing spectacular about this

  5. The Citizen is still flopping around, so there must be more private property to steal.

The Fed spending has increased 4,438 times in the last 100 yrs.

    No Gumby apologist spinned this:
In 1909, the average factory worker earned $0.21 per hour. If a worker's pay had increased 4,438 times, he would be making $1,939,000 per year now.

Selective inflation? Factory workers are stupid, they should work as movie stars?

Watch Gumby spin, excuse, hide, deflect, no comment....

  6. Yeah it was low in 1909 because there was no income tax back then.

  7. $.21/hr in 1909... ~$21.00 in 2009. That's about right for the $USD having been devalued 100:1 since the creation of the Fed. (And the Fed claims to "fight inflation".. HA! Their PRIMARY objective is to PROMOTE inflation.)

We've been able to "handle" the first 100:1 devaluation... it's the ones which come later where things go parabolic and get out of control... a sense I have at this very time.

  8. Will this be a time when the only property left to give will be to give blood? Is that what history says?

    That's insane.

Big Government is like a crushing tax on innovation, jobs and prosperity.

They contribute little (besides defense/courts), and CONSUME EVERYTHING.

    They're a parasite to Capitalism.

Its free enterprise that innovates, drives down costs, creates jobs and improves living standards.

The Government just taxes that productivity for itself, and doles out a FREE RIDE to all its little minions.

  10. I've been saying for years... "We are on the same path as the Soviet Union before its collapse". That is, government TAKES EVERYTHING.. while all but a very small percentage of the people stand in line for their ration of potatoes and toilet paper!!

Just this week I heard a PhD economist say almost the exact same thing.

The Founding Fathers were ADAMANTLY AGAINST a large and powerful central government (and central bank, too)....for EXACTLY the reasons we are experiencing today.
