Are you doing something slick? I thought the limit was 10 monitors...?? Do some monitors duplicate the display of others?
what do you guys do , run a 100,000 BTU freezer in the room? dimming the lights must save a lot of power
I use Ultramon 3.0.10 software($40.00) for managing the whole setup. http://www.soft82.com/download/windows/ultramon/
I added another video card, an EVGA GT220, it was a tight fit but it worked. So I am now running 3 cards, but only 4 monitors (going to add 2 more). I encountered a problem after i installed the card. One of my monitors ( a Gateway HD2201) started flickering. So i switched monitors, ran a different one on the new card, and the troubled monitor on a old card. The flickering went away, but now my resolution isn't right. It is blurry, and not all of the chart fits, cutting off on one or both sides. The other monitor (same brand and type) works well on the new card. So, it seems the new card altered one of my monitors, but works well on another. Does anyone have any thoughts? (hope that wasn't too confusing)
You have different, "3rd party" video cards installed. Having display trouble is not a surprise. All of your video cards should be exactly the same, if possible. Or, use workstation cards which are designed to work with each other... like Quadro NVS 450, 295. (Some different video cards will work together, but it's hit-and-miss.)
I was running an MSI and EVGA without a problem. I added a second EVGA and the problems occurred. If i run my 4 monitors on the (old) EVGA and the (old) MSI, i now encounter problems with the aforementioned monitor, which i didn't have before. It is almost like the new card changed settings thx for your reply, btw
Yes, adding a new card can change older settings. And, you added a 220 card to 2, 250s... that's perhaps another reason for the trouble.
Do you think this would work: http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0330404
That one likely to also be hit-and-miss, trial-and-error. If you don't wan't to do hassle with that, perhaps you should sell your present cards and get a matched set of workstation cards... like Quadro NVS 295...
