i wasn't aware of any trading majors at schools... heck, a finance degree isn't even good for entering the asset management field. imo law following an economics degree or even psychology would be better than any finance degree (unless benjamin graham was the prof for most of the reqs) the biggest value of an mba is contacts, not the actual content. so that won't make you a better trader. it could be used to weed down the field of candidates, but thats about the extent of it.
This is why ET ranks so highly in comedic value. So many egg-spurts spewing their valuable and informed opinions. How could one do anything but laugh.
This is pretty comical thread. I can only imagine what must be going through a new grad's head regarding some of the posts on ET.
He might make room for a college dropout who is puting up good numbers on his e-trade account. Lots of guys like that at GS.
