GS execution and clearing closing accts?

where is everybody going.

 

abn. heard they lowered the amt gsec raised.

 

anyone have a contact for ABN ? they also work thru IBs ?

I was sure I addressed this last week....sorry.... in any event, GS actually called before the article hit to say that we, of course, are not involved in any of this. They are simply closing the small *under $5million) accounts.

And 25k gross comm annually.

They are keeping a few valued firms. But the rest are going bye bye.

re: ib's... sure. give them a call, i'm sure they'll point you in the right direction. i only know of one for hft, but they only deal with larger wads. pm me if that's your game.

fwiw, i hear their short list beats the pants out of gsec's. some perks not having your clearer do heavy prop. not to mention all the re rumored to be going over there (@gs).

 

I didnt know ABN is in clearing business as well. I know couple of clearing firms that are pretty good as well.
