Grrece probes Citibank for market talk of debt restructuring

  1. Greece has launched an investigation into widespread market speculation that the country could seek a debt restructuring over the coming holiday weekend.

    Government and court officials in Athens said on Thursday that the prosecutor had launched an investigation prompted by an email sent by a employee of Citigroup, the US bank.

  3. This sounds like a witch hunt. What can they be looking for, the person who started the rumor? Plotting a fall-guy plan and deflecting public scrutiny by focusing on the demise of some official?
