And it seems as though you are using the same sort of technique in handling this thread. No emotion. Pure objectivity. I'm not sure I could be so polite. Nice job Corey. Inspirational indeed.
If any one is wondering, all the posts of billyjoerob were deleted by the moderator after receiving a ton of complaints about them. I didn't ask for them to be deleted because I don't want to seem to be ducking his assertions. However his rants are quoted often enough that I think most people get the gist of what he is saying. I am more than happy to converse with someone who has a real interest in the topic and who can bring a fact-based argument to the table. I am not going to respond to garbage posts and I will ask the moderator to delete those. Thank you Magna for helping to keep this thread clean.
Who says wishes dont come true LOL ( getting rid of Billyjoe's posts) Now back to business So Corey can you tell me how .............................. LOL
Lescor, You have mentioned that ES is the toughest place to make $$$$ consistently. Do you think that if for some reason you could no longer dabble in your current "sand box", would you switch to ES and be successful? In your circle of friends, are there long term profitable ES traders? If so could you provide some estimates as to their performance? How long have they been doing it, what is the yearly take? or anything else that would help ES traders on this thread "get a clue". Cheers!
I personally don't know anyone who makes consistent money trading ES. I don't know anyone who is a long term profitable trader who trades anything other than stocks. That's just me and who I know. I'm not saying it can't be done. I will trade it sometimes, but usually on a longer time frame and never with much size. If what I was doing now stopped working, I'd exhaust every stock-related idea I could come up with before I'd work on trading the mini.
Lescor How is your system holding up in these seemingly choppy markets?...do you have a way of identifying a ranging market in the early stages? thanks KON
Wow, I find that somewhat surprising. Out of curiosity, could you just post a screen shot of a chart you traded profitably today? I don't care to know where you entered or exited, although I'd appreciate it if those unidentified areas are not truncated from the chart. Basically, I'd just like to see what you see in your own time frame that's so much more comfortable for you than one of the idexes, without my knowing anything about your strategy. If you'd rather not, I understand.
Been a pretty good week so far, all systems green, +18k with two days to go. (Probably just jinxed myself) I don't try to identify what kind of market it is or what way it's likely to go. I just execute the plan, and it doesn't involve guesswork. Besides, lots of stocks are doing their own thing, irregardless of what the market is doing.
