It would be great if you continued posting. I learned a lot from the journal. Hope you're surviving the low vol
Hi lescor thanks for reply. I actually dont know what my problem is. as 1) i am not trading oversize. 2) it doesnt happen regularly too. But i become very upset about it even if it happens once in two months. May be its psychological issue.. can you suggest something to clear it? thanks Mephistophilis
hello lescor. do you use scaling in or averaging as a method for entry? if so, how do you reconcile the problem of having your largest size on as price is moving or trending away from you and the winners that go in your direction right away being the smallest size? i've never used that as an entry method but am looking at strategy that would need to do just that. thanks!
Awesome journal, a great read - worth reading the 1600 posts, but my eye hurts now. I am surprised about how patient you were answering the same questions over and over again from people ... well that and the big money won.
Hello lescor, I have read the whole thread and have just two questions to you: 1. What is an edge for you? How do you measure it? When developing a strategy, a strategy like trading random could lead to a profit. If you are lucky you get constant returns from this strategy(just as an assumption). So what is an edge for you? 2. How do you develop a new strategy? What are the factors you look at the most? How do you start? I really appreciate your answer!!!
Would be very nice Lescor if you keep your jornal at the end of the year...i´m a fan of the grindind it out, day after day!
the silence of lescor is an omnious sign about how difficult it has become to daytrade going foward.Mean reversion is failing after a 10 year super run. just like bitcoin mining the markets are becoming exponentially harder to trade until its not worth the effort.
