So far he has managed to establish enough presence to sell books and make some dough for himself..... The job of someone in his previous position is to be able to understand what others do not, and to offer solutions to prospective problems, whereby they were put into their position with remedies in mind..... Unfortunately, this guy is just a politician, who developed some presence, did not understand important areas in his own field, which in turn has created financial havoc to the world..... Yes....qualified individuals need to be in important positions.... This guy was not what the US needed....Another politician who had control of the important financial podium..... However his government position landed him a better paying job on the corporate side.....and his previous presence has enabled him to sell some books..... Thus making some change late in his life.... An accomplished economist ? Greenspan served as the chief US Political Economist....... You decide.....
