Do you think you have an edge?

  2. In roulette? No. The casino has the edge, I don't. I depend on luck. Sometimes the casino has BOTH the edge AND the luck, while I have nothing. On Monday, the number 32 appeared for four consecutive times when I was betting on 1-12. For the fifth time, I increased my betting size and got my money back.

  3. There is something perfectly fine, it;s much needed in others areas but just not for trading.

When I knew it was bad for trading, I demonized it and made it look really bad, but it came up again and again. I guess I just have to give its good reputation back, and call it with a positive term. This may be considered as respect.

So I will respect this thing that was demonized before. Sounds like how the US government treats Al Quaeda fighters in Syria. It used to demonize them and call them terrorists and put anyone remotely related to Al Quaeda into a prison on that nice little Carabbean (the spelling may be wrong) island of Cuba.

Now, things are different, they are provided with weapons, food, cigarettes, beer, beef, ok, beef is a kind of food, anti-aircraft missiles, a kind of weapon, and chemical weapons (you can use it, but don't say I gave it to you, that's a precondition). Sorry, digressed.

Back to trading. Now I begin to respect it. If you respect it, you won't abuse it, you won't try to change it. If you accept it as it is, you can focus on finding a different solution.

  4. Nothing has worked so far.

All the solutions are not effective.

Not sure of the exact cause of problem at the moment.

Will try to focus back on one cause that I worked on before.

    Very frustrating.

I have been trying to bypass the obvious cause and focus on the correct action. But it just doesn't work. Without addressing the cause, simply forcing myself into a behavior is not possible.

  5. You know this thing about cancer. After some treatment, it retreats. and then after some time, it comes back. Some more treatment, it goes back, and then it comes back again.

So what you read about what happened is either cancer retreat or cancer come-back.

If it is cancer retreat, it doesn't mean it's good. It's just not observable.

If it is come-back, it is just bad.

So erase what you know before, focus on the current, focus on what lies in front you: There is a problem, and then there is a solution.

There is a warning too: if not this, not that.

  6. Are you familiar with a poster named Coolweb?

  7. No, not at all.

Is he a prop firm owner-pretended trader? Trying to gain free publicity for his firm? (Typical post would be: Hey, I have been looking to find a prop firm to trade with, it should have low rate, good platform, some training, etc. Then replies would be: Here is one by name of ______, legit business, good honest owner, have been trading with them for 3 years, not a problem at all, etc.)

  8. After some deep thinking, I realize this: I cannot make money, but somebody else can. If I give my money to him to trade, and we split the profits, that's better than me struggling and losing money.

Just like driving, I cannot drive to New York from Las Vegas (too tiring for me, besides my driver's license is dubious.), so I hired someone to drive me there. I gave money to the driver to buy gas. So without me struggling and possibly driving the car into the ditch, I got there with the help of some else.

Now, I have decided to hire someone to trade for me. I don't have to do it myself.

Think about it, if we all try to do things by ourselves, the world would be chaotic. If you want to wear shoes, do you cut a piece of leather and make shoes from scratch? NO, you buy them from people who can make shoes. Again, if you want to live in a house, do you start building a house by digging for concrete foundation? NO, you rent a house or buy a house already built up by someone else.

Trading is the same. Do you start from the scratch by opening an account and looking at the chart and applying stochastics and reading "Trading in the Zone" as suggested by book writer Nodoji and watching CNBC and taking Cramer's advice and waiting for economic data to be announced at 8:30am in the morning and studying more charts at night? NO, you give the money to someone who can trade for you.

Am I right? I definitely won't start plowing the field and plant rice seedlings and water and fertilize them and then harvest the rice crop and cook the rice, if I want to eat a bowl of rice. If I want to eat chicken, I won't go out with a knife and cut the head of a chicken off and pluck the feathers off the dead chicken body and then take the gut out of the body and then cut it into pieces and cook them in a pot (ok I may fry the chicken, but I don't want to be insensitive to some race of your country. You just can't mention fried chicken without Al Sharpton protesting in front your house).

Again, I will find someone to trade for me.

  9. I read somewhere on ET that small traders lose, they just lose. There is no chance for small traders to make money. The poster suggested that traders go to a prop firm to learn some trading skills.

So I am ready to find a prop firm and learn some trading skills. Anyone has any prop firm information, please share.

  10. OK, it's Thursday, a very weird day or days for me. I didn't sleep very well, because I kept a cat in the bedroom.

Why keeping a cat in the bedroom?

    No, not for trading luck.

It'a a long story, I saw this backyard cat bleeding one day, and I decided to help her. After some examination, I concluded that it might be a miscarriage. It was a few weeks ago, the cat was in heat and possible got pregnant. Anyway, miscarriage in cats is serious, so I called vets (always vultures, remember that. They are not here to help you, they are here to make money, greedy bastards!). One told me to go to emergency room. One told me to find dead fetus somewhere. If not, the dead fetus might be inside the cat's body, and that would be very very serious.

I decided to wait, in the meantime I gave her antibiotics in case it was miscarriage and she got infection. She looked ok after a few days. Of course, I read about treatment in the meantime, from standard spay to pyometra to spaying while pregnant. All things pointed to one treatment: spaying. So I made an appointment with the vet. 7/18 was the date the spaying was done, due to "in heat" (thank god, it wasn't miscarriage), I was told after the surgery, I needed to pay more. Fine, no problem.

Problem is she is an outside cat, she likes freedom. But I must keep her quiet for a few days. No, bathroom/laundry room is not an option. So I kept her in the bedroom. Next came the learning process of E-collar. Made a few home-made ones. The paper/plastic one given by the vet later one was useless, torn to pieces by the cat.

Anyway, she jumped around a lot after the surgery and licked the incision (before I realized the necessity of E-collar). Many of us probably traded before realizing the necessity of _____. (You fill the blank). Even if you do realize the necessity of ______ in trading, you may not be able to stick to it.

The incision came open after a couple of days!

I went back and the vet put some more glue on it. They told me the skin layer was glued together while the inner layers were sutured with dissovable stitches.

This time, I used E-collar. No more licking!

But she continued to jump: tables, desks, window sills.

One time she got out. I tried to catch her but not successful for one and a half days. After I caught her, I found the incision not very satisfactory. So I took her to the vet again.

The vet learned her lesson and refused to touch my cat. She said last time my cat was crazy. She couldn't control her. She ran around in the operating room. So this time she insisted on sedating her. I wanted the vet to take a look at the incision to see if it's necessary to stitch the incision (My plan was to insisting on stitches, not glue). But the vet refused to treat my cat without sedating her. She planned to re-suture after sedation. I sensed that this idiot vet was going to do more harm than good!

I told thme to stop their invasive behaviors. Greedy bastards wanted more money for anesthesia drugs. But the following re-suturing was just too much to bear. Besides, the cat had food in the morning. I asked if it was dangerous to operate on the cat with food in her. They seemed to have forgotten that part. Well, greedy vets are for money, not for the safety of cats.

So I took the cat back and kept her in the bedroom until today. The incision is healing well. So far so good.

I couldn't sleep, because the cat woke me up at around 5 am CT.

Due to sleep deprivation, my mind is not working properly and that's why I feel weird.

Back to trading: The M thing doesn't work, to allow the M to work, you must change something first. Otherwise you won't allow the M to work. But if you can change that something, you don't need the M.

In the meantime, I lost sight of the cause of the problems, a few times. Strange, after so much time, I wasn't sure what causes all these problems.

Used to be two causes. Now it's one.

So I tried to focus on this one single cause. I consider it the cause of three problems.

So I try to face this single cause face-to-face. And I came up with a tentative solution. It worked a little bit. I reduced the hesitation at the entry, got a little bolder. Some progress there. I even took a "loss!" I was not supposed to use the word loss, so I put in brackets for myself.

Hopefully, this new solution will work better.

Landlady kept asking me when I would release the cat into the backyard. I don't want to do that because I want to give the cat more time to heal.

In the meantime, I dread the 5 o'clock wake up routine of the cat. There is nothing meaningful to trade at 5 or 6 or 7. Who is that idiot poster on ET who wants to trade around the clock? I used to do that, I even traded Hong Kong futures market. Strange things happened to newbies.
