Those are all valid points, but at the end of the day, the only ones that can change that are the people.

During WWII we fire bombed Dresden and many though that was wrong because of the same arguments you make. I not only thought it was right, but moral. No matter what form of govt, the governed are ultimately responsible.

  2. Other than a couple of outliers like scandinavia, socialists must use repression to retain power. Cuba is merely the worst example, but not atypical. In post-independence Africa, they developed a saying "One man, one vote. Once."

Even in more civilized socialist countries, the governments use extreme measures to enforce equality of suffering. Who believes even that can survive the massive migrant invasion?

  3. The people are poor, opressed and controlled at every stage of their lives, they just want to feed their family and be happy, not stage a political uprising and get killed. I like how you put all the blame on the Cubans as though, again, they have much choice in their daily life.

Maybe some of you enlightened people should visit Cuba and talk to people. Many love their country (it is beautiful in many ways, unspoiled) and they live an easy life with respect to what brings them joy but they have none to little internet or interaction with foreigners. Up until recently, Cubans were forbidden from entering tourist spots and beaches. But they still have great pride in their country, just not in their politicians, those that choose to speak.

They are not happy with the conditions and have little power to change.

EDIT: Fidel dies and his brother steps in. Raul retires and handpicks his successor. Dictator plan and simple. I doubt the leader of Sweden or Norway is considered a dictator or runs their country the same way.

I did not mean that to come across as "blaming" them. I was just pointing out that at some point it is up to them to change things.
