  2. Your post jogged my memory, I'll have to look up this one guy, I've forgotten his name but he was a contemprary of Mozart and not well known. He had some short pieces in piano exercise books and I sometimes would try to finish the stuff or make up stuff around it. One day I was watching some piano you tubes and some fat kid took credit for writing a song and I'm sure it was this composer but couldn't be bothered to double check. I know his name began wiith an "L" lieber something or other.

  3. Different. Chorale isn't my first choice for classical music and have to admit I was along early but lost interest as the piece continued. I'll often invite the classical station onto my car radio, shutting up the pop and rock n roll. There are times when your mood is in need of consoling not being imposed on by the crass
    commerciality of the aforementioned. Nice.

  5. The title would almost suggest that it belongs in the Daily Hottie thread:

  6. I used to work out to this piece in the 80s:

Bach's brandenburg concertos are some of my all time favorites, along with Handel's Messiah.
Love listening to Christopher Hogwood play great harpsichord music.
Regarding composers, Georg Philipp Telemann is one awesome dude.

  8. I like these guys, 'cause they were responsible for some absolutely stunning violin music...

    Ysaÿe, Sarasate and Chausson.
