One last question. Is there anyway one can create dual or even better quad setup using some sort of software and cable setup? Maybe a stupid question but i have heard from someone long time back that it can be possible. Any help?
1. If you're asking about the possibility of using some sort of $3.95 "splitter" off of one video port, the answer is NO. 2. You could use something like Matrox Dualhead2Go or TripleHead2Go and run all monitors off of one video port. However, you'd incur the cost of the hardware and be limited to SXGA resolution. 3. Easiest and least costly is usually to mount 2, dualheads or 1 quad (used off of eBay for $75-$125-ish).
Not an absolute piece of hardware needed for VISTA but to get full advantage of Direct x 10, be prepared to fork out some cash for a new video card. Direct x 10 is overkill for trading since we in this profession only need 2nd and not 3D. If you want cool it costs extra bread. Looks like for now the Direct 10 cards are at least $600 ATI R600 cards are not out yet, those are supposed to support gadder. personally, i stick with NVIDIA. FWIW, crazy what we can spend on a simple pc.....
You can get up to 9 or 10 monitors on one computer... whatever the max limit of WinXP. (Win NT had a max limit of 16!)
