I'd be curious to know what resolution people decide on for trading with those 30" monitors. The reason I ask is I was thinking of going with Quadro NVS 440's if or when I go to max buildout on my system. I have 4 PICe x16 slots. Maximum digital resolution on these cards is 1920 x 1200. If nobody trades at resolutions higher then that, then it might be counterintuitive to spend money (and space in the box and hence fewer screens) on higher resolution cards even if/ though monitors may be capable of higher resolutions. Make sense?
The only reason to have 30", is to get more info displayed per screen. If you're thinking "4 monitors" and have the room for them, 1920x1200 is a good choice and much more economical.
If you are using 19" monitor with 1280x1024 resolution... then click on your desktop, select properties... change the resolution to 1024x768. That's how your 30" LCD would look if you set it to 1920x1200.
