I used to do spreads, but while they are "safer" , they also take away full profit potential. Spreads are better in Hogs and Cattle where you could get whacked on a days on end limit lock move.

I went long Dec Corn 245. This is the beginning of my fall strategy of buying corn and adding on dips. I will switch to the July Contract at some point. I am way underleveraged at this point with no stop in place and the idea is to add positions and reap a large gain on a bullish corn position sometime before next May/July.

I should point out as well, that there are some bullish signs on the daily chart(not on weekly) if we close in this area today.

Daily Chart of Dec Corn. Looks bullish at least in the short term. Opinions welcome.

Still long the Dec Corn for now. Weekly chart still looks like down, so I will pay close attention.

    mmmm----Corn-----

My trade is against the seasonal tendency, but the daily chart says stay long. We are at some short term resistance, so we'll see. :)

The spreads reversed in Corn especially, CZ6/CZ7.

May get choppy, but long is on track for now.
