Taking some Dec hogs long here for a trade and short some Oct puts. The flu issue is serious but not this serious.

RT is that live or feeder cattle you're using?

  6. No posts in over a month? What's going on? Some bean sprds are getting "attractive" again, obv. still some issues if you watch the x/f. Those spring spreads more than likely won't be trading backwardation come spring, but it's the inbetween that can get rough.

Hmm I've mainly just looked at index futures and options but this certainly looks like an interesting thread just skimming the 1st few pages.

I saw this site was recommended... http://www.mrci.com/

Is there any other sites you guys would suggest i take a look at?

  8. Come join us in the grain pits my man, a bit old fashioned but at least you won't be trading the most tick fucked markets in the history of the planet.

    Hey thanks

I've been messing around with these a little bit the past couple of days on the thinkorswim demo i have.

It's looking like wheat and, kind of surprisingly to me, feeder cattle have been the most volatile out of the ones i've bought/soldshort.

Would you guys say these are mostly stand-alone and for the most part do their own thing or are they as hooked to the dollar as equities and metals have been the past year or so?
Dollar just seems to rule the day everywhere else.
