  2. Probably have nice big sales in corn and beans tommorow, unsure about wheat. These bean spreads are moving!

Does anybody think that the USDA crop report they might possibly RAISE corn acreage again?

Henderson, thank you for the reply.

Concerning the Rtrader2525's message about sales in corn and soybeans - is it a regular pattern of selling in the latest days of August? As far as i understand, the crop for beans is not as good as expected, that's why the August price is spiking for the last few days.

Why do you think that tomorrow there should be some sales?

  4. Typically Fridays are slow in beans hovering right around settles for most ags in Aug and Sep. It doesn't help that Friday is the first notice day in q9.

    Position definitely paid.

If you want some nice overnight ag news; I prefer

  5. I just rolled my oat:corn spread from sep to dec, a ton of support here on the oats guys, when I entered the spread it literally moved the oat market and this time when I sold my oats back it didn't do anything got gobbled up by two big bidders. Says a little to me about the support we are seeing, the spread still is good though guys, my target is .90 or lower. Good trading everybody.

Also if you have the margin look to spread sep chi wheat against sep beans.

August weather looks good for the bean crop, these huge exports are moving the market though. China is going to unload that big bean sale soon though so that should give the bears a bit of support, keep a close eye.

  6. Correct, this should be the move higher in beans that China was looking for. looking at it on an mt price basis, China's offering is getting close to being a market offer.
