In a strikingly blunt State of the State address, Gov. David A. Paterson chastised the lawmakers seated before him on Wednesday, saying they had spent the state into near-ruin and stood by as a plague of political corruption destroyed New Yorkersâ trust in their government. âYou have left me and other governors no choice,â Mr. Paterson, the former State Senate minority leader, said. âWhether it be by vetoes or delayed spending, I will not write bad checks, and we will not mortgage our childrenâs future.â
Patterson takes a lot of heat, but you gotta give him credit for saying what he really thinks on this issue.
hopefully some form of government spending is reigned in at some point in the future, new york would be a lovely place to start.
New York will be California, the sequel, before they change their ways, especially as more and more leave the state for a better one.
