    SOCIALISM = BANKRUPTCY

    Wherever it is - in Cuba, Russia, Britain etc. great propaganda that appeals to the electorate and they fall for it every time.

    The cost of social engineering etc. is huge and the end product is pitifully small

    Can't say I like Capitalism much either - unfair, unbalanced etc.

    The answer must be somewhere in between

    Famous quote.. "In Capitalism there is unequal sharing of the benefits. In Socialism, there is equal sharing of the misery."

    Milton Friedman has professed, "... Capitalistic economies have had the richest financial and life styles throughout history.... without a doubt, bar none..."

    Personally, I'm a Libertarian Capitalist... basically, "keep the government off of my back, and I'll make my own way"...

    We still have that today in America but on a diminishing path. However, the more Socialistic government and economies become, the LESS opportunity and LESS incentive for anyone to lift himself about the Socialistic norm.

    At some point, it becomes "all about government".... did we forget? That's they reason Europeans fled to the New World... to get the Government and their religious state oppression OFF OF THEIR BACKS.

    How is it then we've fallen to resume exactly what generations of Americans fought and died for to prevent??

  3. Socialism = bureaucrats managing business.

    China 1950: killed most landlords, nationalized land, forced collective farming,

    1958 - 1961: famine swept the country, 40 million died. Socialism at its best.

    Yeah, let bureaucrats decide what to grow, what to build, waht to eat/drink/wear/drive.... haha, great!
