Like what practically everyone would've said about men and women 50-100 years ago, a strong belief in free speech, that the government works for us and not vice versa, etc. Nothing that should be edgy or get you cancelled but the Ministry of Truth's woke warriors sure think so. I know people who have lost FB groups with thousands of people and practically everything they needed to run a business (shopping cart/email/hosting/etc. software) for saying stuff that would've been totally acceptable (even if not everyone agreed) 20 years ago.
I can't wait for you to spell out what is so offensive today that wasn't 20 years ago, let alone 50 or 100 years ago!
Naaaa. Give us an example. The news media sensationalizing battery fires or software glitches? Nothing wrong with that, and countless people claiming a company is overvalued by every traditional financial metric ever used putting their money where their mouth is, is hardly criminal. Besides, I think we can all agree TSLA's stock price is far from being a "victim" of some nefarious plot to bring it down to a reasonable valuation.
It's all politics now. Everything depends on who said/did something and who they are politically and if the regulators are from the same party or not. Only the most very egregious stuff is prosecuted by the same party.
You have done no work in this area. Your vehemence shows you are likely part of the group who would like to eliminate short selling as being Un-American. Short selling research is known to be much more through than research done by Wall Street analysts.
So you spout anger at not being able to say whatever you were saying 20 years ago, yet when asked to say it you don't want to anymore... conflicted mind, aren't ya!
