The news about not firing Powell made the NQ go up 2%. Only in such a negative background can this happen. Looks like another bear market rally. Amazing that traders are happy that Trump is following the Constituion. That's how bad it has gotten.
China will likely rebalance to more consumption, they have the savings. How will the US rebalance to more manufacturing? Are they going to cut salaries in half?
This was absolutely no news at all....its been said a million times over that Powell cannot be fired so this news after hours is Ludacris. This is another bear market rally on nonsense news ....the back and forth rhetoric is absolutely insane....the twists and turns and everything else the media pushes is disgusting. Headlines for days about Powell being fired and then tonight he says I wasn't going to fire him. The rally in futures came after President Donald Trump said Tuesday night that he has “no intention” of firing Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, whose term at the head of the central bank will end in May 2026.
