There is panic. Most haven't a clue what a bear market is since most have never experienced a drop of more than 5%. All these new robinhood investors are lost in these type of markets ...they have never witnessed a collapse and a collapse to them is probably about 289 s&p points from historical highs

You're too excited. Take a deep breath and get a hold of yourself.

What you saw tonight ain't no panic. More importantly, you need to understand real panic isn't triggered by retail traders. It's when the whales like mutual funds start throwing in their towels at once. That's when all hell break loose and you become panic-stricken down to your bones. I bet you haven't experienced what it's like to be a frozen deer in the headlights. Maybe you will this time. :sneaky:

  5. Yea..When I trade..I try to stay very very far from the dramatic emotions. The dramatic emotions are what separate traders from bagholders.

If you dont approach this on a level cold emotion..You will buy into this red tape emotionally and when a bounce before another leg down comes..you will take a serious hit on your account staying long.

I never trade panic..nor do I look for panic. Panic is the keystone of dramatic emotional trading. The presentation of a panic narrative is designed to pull you into emotional trading, revenge trading, political trading.

The strangest thing about this forum is that people dont come he to discuss trading or learn trading..they come here to force feed their own theories. I have learned absolutely zero from the nutjobs that have come onto the forum since covid.

People that traded in 2008-2009 know that when its this red in asia...we will have a certain bounce tomorrow AM. Its when they try to paint it Green overnight that you know the down leg is still fully in-place. Its just trading. Nothing goes straight down. It moves down in waves and legs. Bounce backs can be brutal if your short. Nutjobs like V Shaped will goad you into emotional unbalance when the bounces off the lows happen.

You keep posting this garbage on any downturn and it's not in the slightest true. Many investors are more astute about these things then you are. You are reactionary and likely overtrade; you don't do fundamental analysis.

Im just pointing out that most of these new reddit traders and ones who trade meme stocks and only believe in 1 market direction are now going to feel the wrath of what a falling market actually feels like....where they buy the dip and then buy the dip and buy the dip all the way down to the abyss!!!

  9. We sit about QQQ 461ish right now. Not that far away from the 466 it was premarket Wednesday. This thing still could sneak out a green weekly close. This can't just gap it's way down. It never works that way. AGAIN. This market when it falls, gaps up and drops intraday. Lower gaps are met with V dip buyers and shorts cover.

PS, I'm always going to spin everything positively because the market is still always bullish, even when it drops. We have yet to see real pan. If it does head lower it will still be a fight.

Does kinda suck because the 480-455 move happened all overnight and you know me, I always want to see it happen intra-day. Not the fake futures market.

  10. To clearify...S20075 didnt show up here during covid. Hes been around a long long time. He Knows what hes doing in the market. I just wanted to state that I try to say away from too much emotion while trading. And that...new people here seem to base their entire trading strategy on emotion...even after their accounts have blow up..they stay here and post because they are still in the emotions of this market and they are looking for that revenge post or ''I told you so'' post..I come here and read for comic relief after Ive close my daily trades. And I also try to write about what I have learned over the years.
