And when they do the fed will make everything all better.

No need to worry about that.

    Can't wait for the vix to be 23 . 26....28. ..32. 35.....37.....42......45.....53.....

Then I can short some vix and nake free make some free money.

So youll get a beautiful buy setup on the Qs and ill be shorting volatility.

There were bear markets in 2020 and 2022.

I don't think there have ever been 3 bear markets in any 10 year period, let alone a five or six year period.

So would be crazy to see another bear market so soon. I guess we could get another 19% correction in the S&P like we saw in 2018. Big VIX spike without an official 20% bear market.

So the bear market is on hold for now.......
Even so we will see some huge volatility ...you can definitely see spikes in volatility without a bear market so let's hope we get some vix numbers above 30...

    Great call!

Google says low of the day was, $500.05. But my IB TWS is saying the low was $499.77

Also Nasdaq.com is saying it went below 500 as well.

    Anyway, you win!!

Bigly Bear Readings with the overall market just off the all time highs is still weird.

  9. Some would argue 2020 wasn't a bear market because othe short duration. 35.41 % down in 33 calendar days on SPX. It was more like crash. The year ended up 16.26 %.

With Trump in command and his economic policies I don't see why a bear market would surprise anyone...

It can be described as a cyclical bear market. Similar to 1957 and 1987 although 2020 had the fastest recovery time ever.

US stock bear markets in general are very rare, and even if you include the fast cyclical ones there have never been 3 in any given 10 year period. So 3 in six years would be amazing. But having said that there is always a first time for everything. So can't rule it out..
