:D I love that. I bet next time he might listen to some of the warnings proffered by folks that have been following it for 30.

  5. It's always weird to see MIT (University) bonds as a $$ gainer at the top of the portfolio and then try to figure out what the heck is going on without looking at any news. A green MCD sure doesn't make the story any easier but it looks like stuff that ran up are getting reset and those waiting for a rate cut just have to be patient.

This Is quite an amazing .......

    $2.9 trillion wiped off

    Biggest drop since 2020

just goes to show you that when you see unlimited gains for years and you get just a minor pull back it feels like the end of it all.....

Particularly, in a staggering blow to the markets, $2.9 trillion was wiped from stocks in the early trading hours of August 2 amid mounting fears of a global recession. The sharp sell-off marks the worst day since the 2020 COVID-19 crash.

Its a lot for just one day, but in the big scheme of things not that much.

The S&P fell 30% in 2020 and 2022, it wasn't that big of a deal.

I will agree it wasn't a big deal, but to be honest it wasn't a big deal if you take a few steps back and see the graphs from the last decade. Yes it's easy to say now the sell.off of 2020 and late 2022 weren't that significant but during those moments they certainly were . Those sell offs on the big chart look like they never took place seeing how far the nasdaq and other indexes ran up soon after....

I have a feeling with all this negativity around Fridays markets that most anticipate a follow through into Monday which I think is possible, but I'm leaning on some buyers coming back tomorrow to find some deals....

Either way this volatility is going to be awesome!!!
