Well those folks holding out might get lucky in 37 years when the bear market finally comes and the markets dip 7%. Double digit returns for decades to come.

Hey there might even be the ultimate meltup where the markets move up over 100% in a single year.

What timing. He signed it the day before the markets will be closed, after the markets had closed that day of signing. No wonder the dip is muted. Get 'em all while they are going on holiday. Think China will retaliate tomorrow, when us fat stupid Americans are having our turkey and giblets?

Honestly though what comparable retaliation could China do? Risking the trade deal maybe but hurts them too

I honestly don't know what a "comparable retaliation" will do. All I know is, their retaliatory headline will not make for good long holds for a bit. Now the trade deal is in jeopardy.

This market ATH is all built up on the expectations of a trade deal being done. Phase-1 nonsense. They are pricing it in.

The Hong Kong bill signing is just the first step to what I fear...Increased uncertainty on the long side.

Time to long the VIX maybe?
