I think the knock on "low volume rallies" especially in indexes (ETF/futures) is a fallacy.. volume will always be higher on the downside.. large part of the market is "buy and hold" and any move in that direction just reaffirms conviction (stand pat).. sell off naturally inducing trading action.. alot more reasons to sell including realizing profit/stop loss/ reducing risk. clearly every sell is matched by a buy- right? don't look too much into it.. market is up 20%+ in past year and who cares what the volume was. Volume IMO is probably more relevant for thinly traded issuer (a penny stock that exploded higher on earnings).. market
WAKE UP EVERYBODY.....its a great day in trading land. Just buy the cash close, turn off your computer, have some dinner, go to sleep. Wakeup turn on you computer......PRESTO! ring the register $$$$$$. Why sit in front of your monitor trying to scalp 1-2 points out of a 4 point range..pffftttt. That's for suckers.
(H&S forming on Nasdaq) + (bearish sentiment) + (low volume) = I think new highs. Too many of the H&S patterns over the past year have resulted in the underlying thingamajig going to new highs.
So amazon announces their yearly shareholder letter that they have 100 million prime members....so thestock is now back again in rally mode after hours....this should boost the nasdaq another 1% tomorrow ....no more down days Nasdaq and tech will lead to fresh highs by next month on all indexes....and now with energy and oil indexes in complete rally mode there should be no problem achieving new highs, can't wait to pay $4.00 a gallon for gas...yipppppie ....keep buying and buying. Zero risk all reward all the time...

If you look into not centrally planned market like bitcoin or US markets pre 2000. Volume has exploded on the upside. It used to be the same for US markets. I remember Nasdaq 1998-2000 had epic volumes Current buy and hold like Swiss or japan central bank completely destroyed markets and unintened consiquences will manifest all the time in different assets including US shares Currently Hong Kong central bank sells US assets to support their currency. Try to find what they sell
