Wallstreet doesn't need anything from the fed??? Haaa haaaaaaaa....are you serious. The fed is wallstreet..."the numbers don't like" of course they do. Those numbers wouldn't exist without the fed. The trillions and trillions of dollars the fed handed wallstreet is why earnings and GDP is where it is. Take away those trillions and markets would still be at 2009 lows!!!! The economy can handle one rate hike and many more. The rate hikes have been nothing but pathetically slow. Rates should be at 6-8% right now, I have said this numerous times.... once the next deep recession and crisis comes along the fed has nothing left to save it, with rates not even above 2% you would see them back at 0% withing 12-18 months if another crisis were to come along, maybe even sooner.
US inflation is at 2.2%...how would you justify 6% + interest rates? Rates should be at around 3% long term (which they are) and 2.25% short term
