Another question - do the futures trade 24/7? Sorry for the rookie question. I saw in one place 8:30 to 3:15 CT, but they still seem to be fluctuating. Thanks!

 

No, they have a 15 min close, followed by a 30 min open and then a 1 hour close. Closed on weekends.

Not at all the price action I was hoping to see. Took off my shorts with a 1.5% loss. Probably heading to bed soon.

It looks like the S&P futures are up vis-a-vis their close yesterday, despite the huge hit to the market today. I take it that is a good sign for the longs - that the market sees today's hit as only rather temporary?
