It means that I have been practicing in sim for experiencing protracted holding periods with a large loser hanging in the breeze. But my studying has shown that holding those March NQ longs should recover by expiry. It is not a matter of trying to be "right" over "making money", but playing it out in the real world, not in sim. The sucky thing is that I am playing the game in RL now...Do nothing and hold until positive for potentially 3 months, or close out now and spend those 3 months working back to break-even with many smaller bites. In sim it was a tough choice, but I usually leaned towards closing the loss and climbing back up. Now it is an even tougher choice.
True. You've seen the sort of 'size' I trade. Very small size! On average, I make about 5 ES handles per day for the last few years with my long only strategy. That's about £100-£150 per day or so at my stakes. I can afford for the ES to go to numbers that they will NEVER go too before my previous profits have gone, lol I'll close this trade in the 2700's
