Markets going up on bad news is very bullish. Its when they go down on good news that you want to short them.

  2. Tom Lee out with his prediction for 2017:

Whereas last year everyone was bearish always on the lookout for a crash, since the election it's been the opposite. I think Dwyer, who like Lee was also right on the money, is also cautious.

I read somewhere that the market was up 8% since election day, which would the best return over that post election span since 1928 when Herbert Hoover was elected.

I'm close to starting a Trump recession thread given his rhetoric regarding border taxes, tax breaks and whatever moronic crap he's talking about.

    Buy the dip...

Dow was up 100... Now down about 4 points....buy the massive correction and make free money...
Today's dip was the best opportunity to buy ...Dow headed only up.

Dow was down 180 now down 100.....always free money in the land of risk free markets....by tomorrow the market will have gained back every loss as it nears 20000 again....and bank earnings should be through the roof...there won't be any missed revenues or Earnings from any bank reporting tomorrow as they to have ability to print free money ....

Yes, he actually said it. I created a thread called "Current Forecasts - ET Extremists" which simply listed the wild forecasts that some posters had on here ( with the posting date ). The purpose was to check back against reality in the suggested time frames. My opinion, and I've posted it several times, is we will not see negative interest rates in the US in our lifetime. So the idea that they were supposedly imminent in 2015 or 2016 seemed silly to me.

I remember when Trump said numerous times that stocks were in a bubble, that was over 2000 Dow points ago, so far he hasn't made a peep about it, wonder why?????

  10. CNBC probably has 10% of the audience they had during peak viewership (late 90's-early 00's).
