Perhaps you had an intolerance to dairy products. Or maybe you are lactose intolerant.

Yes, balancing it with Magnesium has been the advice for decades. I drank a lot of milk at one point when i was cycling hundreds of miles a week and eventually got a calcium kidney stone...

Magnesium and calcium (and zinc and iron) all compete with another in terms of absorption by the body. Hence better advice would be to take these supplements (or foods that contain substantial amounts of these minerals) at different times. So having milk with magnesium is a bad idea.

I read some research about how homogenization produces fat molecules that are terrible for our circulatory system. I like the taste of whole milk though so I get skim milk and cream separately. Neither is homogenized, they are separated before that stage of processing. I combine them [recombine?] Love that flavor!

  7. milk is usually fortified with vitamin d, so sometimes the benefits people get from it come from the vitamin d rather than the milk.

  8. Well it good to see new ideas. Quite a few of the libs are advocating breast feeding up until about age 32 now, so that could be a good thing too. And there needs to be space set aside in the workplace for that. I heard that Bill Clinton was all for it.
