I haven't been back out to it in a long time, but last time I was there I spent 5 hours in Air and Space. I need to get back there to see the new area.
Just to be clear there is the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum close to the Capitol building and there is the Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum, close to Dulles airport. They are both free (except for parking) and probably the most interesting out of all Smithsonian Institutions...Although the National Postal Museum (close to Union Station) is also surprisingly interesting.
I am indeed a new Zealander Tango. Although I work in the Gulf. I was back for a holiday and adding a house to the site . I was planning a Airbnb with luxury cabins for the site but for now have only added a house and will rent it out.The area is very touristy and the locals are salt of the earth types, and friendly with it Property prices have gone ballistic over the last 5 years - but heading down now. The government has made it harder for foreigners to buy but the only thing that bought prices down is increases in interest rates and restrictions on mortgages. The downside to NZ currently is a socialist, woke government that has no idea of how to manage a corner store let alone an economy.
If I ever get off my rear and plan another vacation I may check in to see if you went with the AirBnb option. I didn't realize they were more to the Socialist side of things. As far as woke, I'm not sure where you can go and not run into it anymore. Well, ok, maybe Russia, China, and the Mideast, but no plans at this point to go to either of those places.
%% Grand Canyon, snake river @Idaho-Oregon boundary. I havent been there but easy to find that pic on internet.
