We stayed at the Dead Sea for a couple of nights - loved it- and then drove the 3.5 hours over the mountains to Petra. Stunning vistas and very few cars. Petra is high up and cold in early April. There were tourists but not so many. I found it more interesting than the pyramids. We only stayed one night and my children are still young so we couldn't hike far along the canyon: some people are kitted out and hike the 7 hours to the end. I wondered why in hell a whole city was built in such a hard to get to place. Must get around to studying about it. Going back to Aman we drove across the plateau which is high speed motorway..
I don’t have many pics from vacation because I personally love to live into moments and capture them in my memory instead of capturing them on devices.
I’ll be in Olympic national park next week. Camping in the rainforest and by the pacific. I’ll snap some pics
I was just in Daytona Beach at the end of August to watch the first Artemis rocket launch. Even though the launch itself got scrubbed, I made sure that I got up early enough to watch the sunrise at about 6:45AM that same morning no matter what. And I'm happy to say it ended up being one of my all-time favorites:
What is it with you Floridians and the fascination with Disney? You even get their characters in the clouds! And because it's YOU, Baron, you manage to capture Pluto in the clouds doing what you do, man.
