The below response to a post from destriero. Destrero suddenly thinks that using the super-ignore function will hide his continuous stream of abusive insults and fact-free fantasy from me. His post stated the following: "destriero, post: 4769485, member: 485336"]It's amazing that everything you've written is wrong. You use the qualifier "independent" as though it's codified. The election board CANNOT PROSECUTE. Twat. OK... answer me a question --- what is the only non-federal entity that can refer an individual to a grand jury for election fraud (voter fraud or electoral fraud) indictment in North Carolina?
It's not only the "fraud" here with the absentee ballots but whether there is potentially undected fraud elsewhere that is yet to be found. The point I was making is if the Board is White, they won't care and just certify the results. I'm noticing the Whiteys in Wisconsin are moving to make sure the Dems won't redraw the map. If the Whiteys are on the move there, surely they're mobilized elsewhere. 538 points to possibility of new elections.
Actually -- the current state election board is refusing to certify the election but they are not taking any active steps to actually investigate the allegations. The state election board simply wants to delay the certification so Harris will not be seated in January rather than actual perform a proper investigation. In October a panel of three judges ruled that the State Elections Board is unconstitutional and must be disbanded by Monday, December 3rd. Yesterday a judge extended the date to disband to Wednesday, December 12th. After this date the State Election Board will have no power and is not legally an entity. The intent appears to be to merely leave the results of this election hanging. After this I expect some judge will order the election to be certified by the legislature. The actual issue here is that the entire situation is partisan politics and nobody will ever be held accountable or punished for the mail-in ballot fraud in Bladen County in the 9th district. The people responsible for this alleged fraud (assuming the allegations are found to be true) should be indicted and punished for their crimes.
Hoyer: House could refuse to seat N.C. Republican until fraud probe is settled https://www.politico.com/story/2018/12/04/steny-hoyer-house-nc-fraud-1043450 Incoming House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said Democrats should refuse to seat a Republican next year until questions are resolved over accusations of campaign-related fraud. Hoyer said there's a “substantial question” surrounding the election of GOP candidate Mark Harris in North Carolina and called for a thorough investigation before Harris is sworn in. Harris has a lead of roughly 900 votes over his Democratic opponent, Dan McCready, but continues to face allegations that his campaign illegally tampered with absentee ballots to swing the election in his favor. “This is a very substantial question,” Hoyer told reporters Tuesday. “Clearly we would oppose Mr. Harris’ being seated until that is resolved.” Hoyer said he planned to talk to Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.), who is expected to lead the House Administration Committee next year, about looking into the fraud allegations. So far the North Carolina elections board has twice refused to certify the results and has launched its own investigation into the accusations. The move by the board came after multiple voters offered notarized affidavits claiming a woman was going door-to-door offering to help fill out and return absentee ballots in Bladen County, located in the eastern part of the ninth congressional district. There are now questions as to whether the potential fraud extended further back, to the Republican primary, where Harris narrowly defeated GOP incumbent Robert Pittenger. The investigation is now focusing on a local GOP operative named Leslie McCrae Dowless who helped run Harris’ campaign, according to a report in the Washington Post Monday. Democrats are watching the results closely as the investigation continues. North Carolina elections officials could call for another election between the two, possibly handing Democrats another GOP pickup to help pad their majority heading into the new Congress. The board is expected to hold a hearing on the fraud investigation later this month. “The House has, as you know, the authority over the propriety of the election,” Hoyer said. “He has not been certified yet, they have refused to certify him. So at this point in time he is not eligible for being sworn in to the House.” ------------------------------ It should be noted that if Harris is certified - which will certainly happen directly after December 12th (when the election board has been dismissed by the court for being unconstitutional) then the U.S. House has no grounds to deny Harris his seat. (My note).
House Majority decides on their rules, without a certification they can do anything they want especially given all the evidence of Republican fraud.
